Prohibition - Small-Batch Liquor Makers.

Prohibition

Fast forward to South Africa, 2020. A new kind of prohibition swept across the nation. Lockdown hit. The shelves were dry. The spirits… missing in more ways than one.

But silence has never suited us.

In a quiet rebellion, Rocket Distillery™ was born – not in broad daylight, but in the shadows of uncertainty. Our operation? Clandestine. Our mission? Personal. We crafted small-batch liquors and delivered them with care to our nearest and dearest, keeping the spirit alive when the world felt paused.

What started as a lockdown lifeline evolved into a love affair with slow, intentional distilling. Smooth rums. Bold whiskies. Rich brandies. Made small. Made right.

Definition:
The act of forbidding something, especially by law. Specifically: the prevention of alcohol manufacturing and sale – US, 1920–1935.

A Toast to Camaraderie and Craft

Every Prohibition bottle pays tribute to the resilience of that era, not just the one from the 1920s, but the one we all just lived through. It’s about more than the drink. It’s about the people. The defiance. The memories made despite the chaos.

Now, we raise our glasses to the good times ahead.

The Prohibition Range

Our small-batch rum, whisky, and brandy aren’t just spirits, they’re statements. Each bottle delivers bold flavour with a smooth finish, made for moments worth remembering.

Perfect for sipping in easy company, raising a toast to bold beginnings, or stashing like the contraband it almost was.

Prohibition: Then and Now

What was once banned is now bottled bliss. The only thing we’re outlawing these days? Boring liquor.
